Local gastronomy: savouring the bounty of the sea and the mountains.

Featuring the bounty of Hiroshima’s seas and mountains as the centrepiece, we offer an 11-course dinner menu prepared over a wood fire, and a breakfast of freshly milled rice cooked in a clay pot. Each dish reflects seasonal ingredients and the local culinary culture, offering a rich dining experience unique to this region.

With just 34 guest rooms, the décor is centred on the warmth of natural wood and the Japanese aesthetic. Incorporating contemporary art and innovative design elements, these spaces create a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. We also offer a 180-square-metre suite featuring a private sauna, an open-air bath and a private kitchen.

Architect and artist Fumihiko Sano has designed spaces where tradition and modernity harmonise, whilst respecting the beauty of natural materials and the craftsmanship of artisans. Artworks curated around the concept of ‘Keihak’ are scattered throughout the building, creating opportunities for new encounters and discoveries.

    A hot spring bathing facility overlooking Miyajima and Itsukushima

    Featuring open-air baths, indoor baths and a sauna utilising the natural hot springs of Miyahama Onsen, this is a mixed-gender facility where guests enjoy the waters whilst wearing swimwear. Against the backdrop of the tranquil scenery of the Seto Inland Sea, you can enjoy a premium wellness experience that rejuvenates both body and mind.

Discover Miyajima’s Oyster Culture from the Sea

Set out by boat onto the waters off Miyajima to witness the landing of Hiroshima’s famous oysters up-close. Take a rare close look at the oyster fishing process, including oyster rafts being hauled from the sea and oysters being shucked. The breathtaking view of Miyajima, Itsukushima Shrine and the great torii gate standing in the sea are sights that can only be seen from the water. Following a demonstration of the boat being unloaded, this special activity allows you to savour Miyajima’s maritime and culinary culture over a lunch featuring freshly harvested oysters.
